St. Paul’s Church, Chippenham

… putting the spirit back into our community

Music

We use a range of music in our worship at St. Paul’s, mostly relatively modern songs with the best of the traditional hymns that have stood the test of time. (There are people who say that much modern music won’t stand the test of time - they’re probably right - and yes, some things we try just don’t work. :-)

If you have any comments about the music part of worship at the church, please let one of the music group know - we welcome comments on what works and what doesn’t.

If you’d like to join us please talk to Hugh - everyone is welcome to join us for a rehearsal, usually on Thursday evenings - just let us know.

  • Music Rota - sign up here to play or sing with the music group at a service.  (You’ll need to register with the signupgenius website separately.)
  • Music Index - Open Access for everyone - An index to the music known (mostly) by the music group. This is an Excel spreadsheet listing the music, together with some notes. If you’d like it in another format please ask Jon or Hugh.
This spreadsheet contains (a) a list of music on sheets, and (b) and index to the entire Songs of Fellowship books 1 and 2 - we haven’t sorted out yet which of the SoF songs should be considered part of the repertoire.
  • Music Library - music group only - “Photographic Copies” of music, access is restricted to the music group only.

Hi from St Chad’s in Auckland! Thanks for making your music index available, it’s a really helpful tool. Some good ones that I didn’t know and others I had forgotten.. will use them sometime soon. Here we use ccli.co.nz as our main source. Plenty of Hillsongs, Parachute and homegrown Kiwi composers, plus Doerkson, Redman, Hughes, Tomlin et al.. Every blessing, Tim
