Phase 2 Completed

1) New kitchenette
2) New area for the creche,
3) Entrance to the belltower & creche showing the old doors on display,
4) Upper room still awaiting furniture,
5) Staircase and understairs cupboard for the flower ladies,
6) View from the east end of the chancel showing the wall that replaced the pink curtains,
7) Disabled toilet

Big Changes – Laying in the gas main and waste water pipe, window frames for upper room, new staircase taken from the Chancel, new stairs taken from Vestry.

Progressing with the toilets – Insulation being added.

Cleaning & Drains – Cleaning 150 years of cobwebs from the Chancel roof while the scaffolding is in place, gas pipe being laid into the boiler room for future use, excavation down the side of the church for the foul sewer and gas pipe

Windows & Drains – 1) External view of the entrance to the Vestry with excavation underway for the new drain for the toilet and kitchenette. 2) Entrance area – the new stairs to the upper floor will start where the digger is parked. 3) View of the windows overlooking the chancel.

Work Continues - The ground floor framework is almost complete and the joists are going in for the first floor.The view from inside the Chancel shows the new windows overlooking the ramp and the various gaps for the doors to the pulpit, ramp and old Vestry which now becomes a store. Next week should see the staircase arrive!
